Lira opens on citrus, with blood orange set beside bergamot and lavender flowers. Rose and jasmine form the heart, where cinnamon and licorice blossom turn the bouquet toward spice. Caramel and vanilla, softened by musk, carry the drydown and place the fragrance in the gourmand register the house claims for it. It belongs to Casamorati, named after a perfume factory founded in Bologna in the late nineteenth century, whose name Xerjoff revived.

OlfIA

An unapologetic gourmand: caramel at 86 and vanilla at 80 under a gourmand peak of 92 — keep it to two sprays, past which the sweetness buries the bergamot and blood orange that air it out. Longevity 8, projection 7: it carries a whole evening with no top-up. Autumn and winter suit it better, since heat thickens the caramel further. Clearly feminine at 20/100, made for dinner or a night out rather than a working day.
