Ralph
EDT · 2000
Not rated yet — be the firstRalph is a floral built for a young audience — the first Ralph Lauren Fragrances launch aimed squarely at 15- to 25-year-olds when it reached U.S. and Canadian counters on September 17, 2000. Apple and mandarin open it alongside freesia, handing off to a light floral heart of magnolia, linden blossom and osmanthus. Iris and musk close it out with a soft powdery finish rather than any real weight. The house files it as floral-fresh, and at launch the composition was mapped to a colour scheme, each shade standing for one group of materials, packaging included. It reads as a daytime eau de toilette: transparent, undemanding, closer to everyday wear than to an evening floral.
