Polo Red opens on a bright citrus trio — grapefruit, cedrat and lemon — with cranberry adding a tart, fruity edge. Saffron sits at the centre against lavender and sage, and that spicy-aromatic contrast is what the house markets as the fragrance's "red" signature. The drydown is woody and ambery, with a coffee facet that reads bitter rather than edible. Structurally it is a mainstream masculine: legible from the first minute, sanded of rough edges, built to be recognised rather than decoded. The citrus opening carries as much weight here as the wood holding it up.
