Rum and immortelle mark the opening, then leather takes over and keeps hold — at 86 it is plainly the subject, with osmanthus and tobacco only dressing it. Eight hours of wear against a six for projection: enough for a dinner, unobtrusive enough for an ordinary winter day. Sits mid-scale, so it goes on anyone.
