Amyris is a West Indian wood, sometimes sold as West Indian sandalwood although it is botanically unrelated to sandalwood: dry, faintly resinous, a little smoky. Here it is framed by an aromatic rosemary opening and by an iris used for its root facet — cold and earthy rather than powdery. Tonka bean closes the composition without tipping it into gourmand territory.

Office, everyday, up to a formal occasion: projection 5, longevity 6 — two or three sprays cover a working day without filling a meeting room. Rosemary only lasts through the opening, iris holds the heart at 68, amyris and tonka bean sign the base, woods dominant at 90. Sweetness 38, powder 24: expect wood rather than softness. Autumn and winter rather than warm weather; reads mostly masculine.
