Pour Homme II followed the 2003 Gucci Pour Homme in 2007 with an entirely different composition, by Karine Dubreuil. Bergamot and violet leaf open it, black tea, pimento and cinnamon make up the heart, and olive wood, myrrh, tobacco and musk form the base. It wears light and close to the skin rather than as the dense spiced wood its note list suggests. It has been discontinued.

OlfIA

Longevity 5 and projection 4: the lowest figures in this batch, and the thing to know before buying. Carry a travel spray, or accept it as a few-hours scent. In exchange, four or five sprays carry no risk here. Spicy at 82 over woody at 76, spring and summer, office included. Leans masculine at 78/100. Tea and olive wood keep it on the dry side.
