Pour Femme is the 2012 relaunch of the house's first fragrance, which appeared in 1992. Dolce&Gabbana frames it as a fine-tuning of the original rather than a reissue, and files it as a floral amber built on green mandarin, orange blossom and marshmallow. Nine materials make up the reading published at launch: neroli, raspberry and mandarin on the fresh side, jasmine and orange blossom for the floral part, then marshmallow, vanilla, heliotrope and sandalwood for the sweetness that follows. The whole leans creamy and sweet — raspberry gives way to the sugary guimauve, and vanilla holds the base. That candied slant, as much as the floral part, is what carries the fragrance.
