Rose leads by a wide margin, and the papyrus beside it pulls the whole thing dry — which is what makes it bearable at a desk, where a candied rose would not be. Pink pepper leaves fast; amber and musk go the distance, seven hours behind a measured trail. Spring and autumn, and it sits comfortably on anyone.
