Coriander, nutmeg and saffron open dry, then immortelle turns to honey over cashmere wood. Suede and oud seal that sweet finish, which lingers for hours without ever turning sharp.

Honey at 82 leads, but leather at 64 and suede keep it from turning into dessert: the sweetness is held, not poured. The counter misleads — the opening is dry and spiced, and everything is decided an hour later, plum in the base thickening the honey further. Immortelle is the pivot: people take to it or they do not. Two settings only on its sheet, evening and date; two sprays cover both.
