The founding aldehydic floral. Ylang-ylang and neroli in the opening, a heart of iris, jasmine and rose, a base of sandalwood and vanilla. A century on, still the reference.

Tuberose and jasmine sambac open the composition, ylang-ylang thickens the heart, sandalwood, orris and benzoin close it. Bloom's reading shifted onto tuberose, with the Rangoon creeper left out.
